When the woodpile needs attention, a wedge-shaped axe head helps turn each swing into useful splitting force. This Prandi splitting axe uses a 4.41-pound forged C43/C45 carbon steel head designed to enter the wood and push the grain apart.
The 31.52-inch American hickory handle gives you room for a two-handed swing while helping absorb impact. Its hardened, polished edge is made for repeated firewood and log-splitting chores around the homestead, cabin or backyard. With a total weight of about 5.5 pounds, it is a substantial hand tool made in Italy for practical wood processing.
