When you need to split kindling, trim small branches or handle basic camp chores, a compact hatchet earns its keep. This Prandi German-style hatchet pairs a forged C43/C45 carbon steel head with a 14-inch hickory handle for a practical balance of reach and control.
The plain 4-inch blade is suited to chopping, carving and firewood preparation, while the hickory handle helps absorb shock during repeated swings. A leather retention lanyard adds a useful touch for carrying and storage. Made in Italy, it is a straightforward hand tool for camp, cabin and backyard wood work.
