A sharpened hatchet is best stored with its edge covered. The Prandi PRA706003 sheath is made specifically for the PRA4306TH Yankee Hatchet, giving the head a close-fitting brown leather cover for storage, transport and camp use.
At about 3 inches long by 5.25 inches wide and only about 1.10 ounces, it adds little bulk while keeping the cutting edge from being left exposed in a tool chest or gear bag. The leather construction suits the traditional character of Prandi’s wood-handled tools, and the model-specific fit makes it a better choice than a loose universal cover. Made in Italy, it is a simple companion piece for maintaining and storing the compatible hatchet.
